ALUMNI NEWS & HIGHLIGHTS

For just a beginning, the association’s news is already quite eclectic and very interesting to peruse. Occupations range from Postmaster to Firefighter to Massage Technician. One alumnus works for the Cardinal Archbishop of Los Angeles. Thank you to all of the alumni who have contributed so far.

If you haven’t already, send in your Alumni Search form, and let your old classmates know what you’ve been up to. Don’t be shy. So far, most alumni have not filled in the "Personal Accomplishments" section of the form. In hindsight, that label should have been less formal (we’ll change it next year). This section is intended as a place to provide information about family, children, and hobbies as well as career accomplishments. 	Eileen Bonaduce (Marquez)	Attended St. Bs from 1964 to 1968; Bachelor of Arts from Scripps College, Claremont (Spanish literature major, French literature minor); serves as the Executive Coordinator to Cardinal Archbishop of Los Angeles.
69	Ellen Qawasmeh (Vlasak)	Bachelors of Arts in Psychology; works as a substitute teacher, and worked with emotionally handicapped children for eight years; married for 20+ years and has three children (21, 17, and 13).
72	Brad Baumann	Bachelor of Arts from CSUN (Geography major); lives in a suburb of Sacramento with his wife and four children; works in insurance claims.
72	Kathleen Kebely (Nolan)	Continued her education and became a registered nurse; raised five children; lived in Alaska for a period.
72	Theresa Kelly (Miller)	Graduated from Louisville High School and Cal State Northridge (B.A. in Theatre Arts). She worked fifteen years in the mortgage banking field. Recently, took on the more challenging job of stay-at-home mom of Christina (born 4/10/01).
73	Matthew Gebken	Graduated from Thomas Aquinas College; got a pilot’s license before he graduated high school; computer programmer since 1982; married with six children - the youngest, Hannah, is a couple years old.
73	John Tostado	Bachelor of Arts from CSUN 1982 (Television major); since the mid-1980s, developed an expertise in computer-generated post production effects; his numerous credits include the Academy Awards, and ESPYs; John is the proud husband of Janice, father of Dillon, and godfather of Grace and Felicity Nelson (both of whom currently attend St. Bernardines).

74	Tom Garifo	Firefighter for the Los Angeles Fire Department; instructor for "Life Goes On" (Disaster Preparedness); Tom is married with two sons.
74	Suzanne Beaudelaire (Branchaud)	Married 20+ years and "going strong"; Senior Manager at Ernst & Young’s downtown Los Angeles office.
75	Thomas Gebken	Has a "wonderful" wife and a "beautiful" daughter.
76	Karen Gagnier (Kaufmann)	Graduated high school and college; got married in 1998 and has a toddler son; works in risk management for hospitals.

79	Jane Sad (Hayes)	MBA from Pepperdine; Bachelors of Science from San Diego State University (Business Administration major); currently lives in Laguna Niguel with her husband and two children.

81	Phillip Scuderi	Graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 1989. Became an attorney and presently has his own law firm in Sherman Oaks.
82	Kirsti Payne (Wolfe)	Director of Product Development for Paramount Pictures
82	Kirsten Kaufmann	Bachelors of Arts from UCLA (Psychology major); certified massage technician.
82	Thomas Slago	Staff Sargent in the United States Army. Was deployed in Kosovo. Usually stationed out of Fort Stewart, GA.
82	Mark T. Burford	Graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Theater (emphasis in acting). Currently works for Universal Music Group.
83	Elizabeth Thompson (Annenberg)	Geriatric social worker.
84	Lawrence Slago	Lawrence is married with two children and works for Pacific Bell.
84	Kimberly Fambry	Graduated from CSUN in 1993 and received a teaching credential in 1994; a teacher since then.
88	Christopher Wilson	Teaches special education for emotionally disturbed students at Antelope Valley College.
91	Tammy Kuebler	Graduated from Louisville, and Cal Lutheran University with a B.A. in music. Received a Master's degree from the University of Denver and is currently working toward a doctorate degree in Opera Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Her dissertation will be on gender studies in opera. Tammy has done a lot of traveling since high school and has performed for opera companies throughout the world. As well as performing, she currently teaches a class in opera directing.
91	Shannon Galindo	Graduated from El Camino Real High School; attended Pierce College, and plans to transfer to CSLA soon; Shannon has "traveled the world" and would like to have a career in nursing and social work.
92	Katy Kruska (Wilson)	Graduated from Sonoma State University. Presently attends Loyola Marymount University where she’s working on her teaching credential and Masters in Elementary Education. Katy teaches the second grade class at St. Bernardines and is a real favorite with her students.
92	Christine Lohmann	Lives in San Diego where she works as a secretary for an engineering company; reports that she has a "serious boyfriend" and plans on getting married in the next few years.
94	Christine Jagolino	Graduated from Louisville and University of Arizona. Currently works as a freelance producer for a talk show, "Berman and Berman".
96	Matt Wilson	Graduated from Crespi High School. Presently attending Sacramento State where he is studying business. He continues to play baseball.
97	Roberta Brehm	Honor student at Louisville High School; member of school and church choirs; golf team member.
97	Wili So	Graduated from Chaminade High School and presently attends University of Washington (hopes to graduate in 2005).
97	Laura Mastarda	Graduated from Chaminade High School and is presently attending Cal State Northridge where she studies music. She’s also involved in vocal ensembles. Laura hopes to make a living with music either as a performer or on the creative side.
98	Margaret Mahoney	Graduated from Louisville High School. Will be attending Loyola Marymount where she plans to study psychology.
