TRAFFIC CONTROL

  • The entrance into Calvert is not for drop-offs

  • Please use car lines

  • Handicapped spots are not to be used for drop off or pick up

  • Parking  and  the use of  car lines have been approved by the LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT

  • Please use caution and slow down when on school premises

  • There have been too many near misses

  • THIS IS ALL FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXITING ON VALLEY CIRCLE AT ANY TIME BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL. 

ONLY LEAVE THE PARKING LOT THROUGH THE CALVERT ST. EXIT BEHIND THE PARISH HALL.

THERE IS NO PARKING ON THE LOWER BASKETBALL COURTS OR VOLLEYBALL COURTS AFTER SCHOOL.

STOP!

STUDENTS CANNOT USE THE STREET-SIDE BREEZEWAY TO MEET PARENTS AFTER SCHOOL.

 

Drop Off Procedures

You are encouraged to use the car lines, as this is a very safe method of dropping off your children at school in the morning.  There are parents who assist your children to exit the car, and there is also supervision in front of the school to make sure that your children enter safely into the building.

If you enter from Calvert Street, please park your car before the children exit.  Since there are cars still pulling into the parking lot, it is unsafe for your children to walk through the parked cars.  Please have them use the crosswalk by the church.  Never drop your children off on Calvert Street and let them walk into the parking lot unattended.

The children who enter Building 1 are able to walk down the hallway on their own, as there is supervision to see that they arrive safely in their classroom.  Parents are not to enter the classrooms in the morning unless they have an appointment with the teacher.  This is the teacher’s preparation time.

 

After School Pick Up

Cars that park behind Building 2 should only exit onto Calvert Street.  Cars should never exit onto Valley Circle Blvd., as this creates a serious safety hazard for those cars that are entering the parking lot from Valley Circle Blvd.

Day Care begins at 2:45; therefore, the cars that park behind Building 2 should exit this lot by 3:00 p.m.  The Valley Circle Blvd. gate will be closed for the safety of the Day Care children and those who are participating in after school sports.
